Chassis: 966
The final Lotus 19, chassis 966 was the only built by the factory to 'B' specifications. Fitted with a small-block V8 engine, it was raced by Dan Gurney in the 1964 and 1965 USSRC Series. It proved one of the quickest combinations, earning the car its 'Pacesetter' nickname. Unfortunately poor reliability meant that Gurney was only able to convert his pace into two victories. Beautifully restored, it is seen here at the 2007 Monterey Historic Races.
