Chassis XP1 LM was the prototype that formed the basis for the five production F1 LMs that were built to celebrate McLaren's victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. After its use for testing and promotional purposes, it was retained by McLaren and today is proudly displayed on the 'boulevard' of the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC). We understand that McLaren principal Ron Dennis has promised the car to current Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton if he wins three driver's championships in a McLaren.
