Chassis:
This Mercedes-Benz 500 K was entrusted to the 'Sonderwagen' (special vehicles) department of the in-house coach-work factory in Sindelfingen. Here it was fitted with the most exclusive 'Spezial Roadster' design penned by head of department Hermann Ahrens. It was sold new to Spain to a Miguel Moreno Garcia. What happened to the car next, we do not know but it eventually re-appeared at the 2005 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Malaysian hands.
