Chassis:
Chassis 0774TR was the fifth and final 250 TR59 constructed in 1959. It debuted in that year's 24 Hours of Le Mans where it failed to finish. Over the winter, it was updated to TR59/60 specification. In its new guise, it won first time out, at the Buenos Aires 1000 km. In June Olivier Gendebien and Paul Frere drove chassis 0774TR to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was then sold to the United States where it was briefly raced by Phil Hill.
Following its contemporary racing career, the car's V12 was used to power a Lotus 19. The engine was re-united with the car in the 1980s. Owned by noted Ferrari collector Paul Pappalardo, it was meticulously restored to its Le Mans winning specification. Throughout the 1990s, he regularly showed and campaigned the 250 TR59/60 on both sides of the Atlantic. In 2004 it was acquired by its current owner, who immediately entered it in the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. He brought the car back to Pebble five years later where it was joined by the other three surviving 250 TR59s.
