Chassis:
One of the very last Chevron B16s produced in period, chassis 29 was sold new to Scotsman Dennis Dobie for his DART team. DART driver Graham Birrell took a debut victory with the car at the Lombank Trophy race in October of 1970. Ahead of the 1971 season, the car was part-exchanged for a new B19 with Chevron. Chassis 29 was subsequently sold to Ireland where Eddie Regan raced the car. The B16 returned to the United Kingdom a few years later and was registered for the road.
By the mid 1970s the car was sold to Switzerland. In 1988 the B16 passed into Swedish hands and was repainted yellow from the red it had previously sported. In 2002 the car was acquired by historic racer Sandy Watson and raced extensively before being added to the vast stable of Brazilian collector Abba Kogan. The current owner eventually bought the car early in 2011 and set about restoring it to its DART colours in preparation for a very busy season. He is seen here in action during the Spa, Silverstone and Paul Ricard rounds of the CER.
