Sold new to the United States, this Bora is fitted with the 4.9 litre version of the V8 and equipped with the 'safety bumpers' that had become mandatory in most states during the 1970s. In 2011, it was offered at RM Auctions' annual Monterey sale. At that it had had one owner since the 1970s and only covered 24,000 miles from new. Estimated to go for $60,000 - $80,000, the final hammer price of just $60,500 proves that the Bora really is the bargain supercar of the 1970s and great value for money.
