Chassis:
Originally labelled 'AF1' for Alpine Ford, this Lister Coupe started life as the Tiger prototype. It was delivered to Lister early in 1964 with the 'Alpine' badge still on the flanks; the Tiger name had not yet been decided on by then. Lister prepared the car for the official Le Mans test by modifying the suspension, fitting four-wheel Girling discs and adding the Ron Wisdom styled and wind-tunnel tested coupe body. The valuable lessons learned at the test in April were used for the two production cars that were raced. Re-stamped B499999, the Lister Tiger prototype was sold early in 1965. It is today in Californian hands and has been raced regularly at both sides of the Atlantic.
