Chassis:
The first of four 330 LMBs built for the 1963 season, chassis 4381SA made its debut at that year's Sebring 12 Hours. Unfortunately, it had to retire from the race early and the same happened at its next outing, at Le Mans in June. The four-litre engined machine was retired from racing and sold to a movie company. Its roof was cut off by Fantuzzi and the car was repainted gold to star in Frederico Fellini's 'Histoires Extraordinaires'.
In the 1970s, Fantuzzi restored to 330 LMB to its original configuration and in 1982 it was acquired by Fabrizio Violati. The keen collector and historic racer campaigned at select events before he sold it in the 1994. Soon after the current owner bought the car and it has since been raced with great success throughout Europe in all the prestigious events. A crowning achievement of 4381SA's historic racing career came at the 2008 Goodwood Revival where Peter Hardman and Bobby Verdon-Roe piloted it to victory in the always hard-fought 'Tourist Trophy' race.
