Chassis:
Featured is one of the very first Rolls-Royces produced and the oldest still in existence. Originally displayed on the company's Paris Auto Salon, it is the only example of the few cars built in 1904 to have survived. The 10hp chassis was originally fitted with a Barker Two Seater body, but it received various modifications during its life, before it was found in a sorry state in 1950. Since then it has been restored to its original configuration and brought back to full running order. For the last thirty years, it has been owned by a British collector. At Bonham's upcoming Olympia auction in December 2007, it was offered on the public market for the first time in over a century. It broke the records for most expensive Rolls-Royce and veteran car by going to a new owner for £3,521,500.
