Chassis:
Chassis 0738TR was sold new to Brazilian Jean-Louis Lacerda Soares. Entered under the Esquardari Largatixa banner, the 250 TR was raced for several seasons in South America. In the 1960s, it was rebodied by Piero Drogo as a 250 GTO look-alike. It was retrieved from Brazil in the 1980s and restored to its original pontoon-fender shape. For many years the car was in the ownership of a prominent Brazilian historic racer, who campaigned the car in the yellow and green Brazilian racing colors. In more recent years, it joined an American collection and was re-finished in red. Ferrari Classiche certified in 2023, it was consigned to RM Sotheby’s for a sealed bid auction due in February of 2024.
