Chassis:
Produced in 1957, chassis 0689GT was the penultimate 250 GT chassis clothed by Zagato. Delivered new to Italian Vittorio de Micheli, the three-litre Ferrari was raced with considerable success until the fall of 1960. By that time, it had received a heavily modified nose as part of an accident repair. After its contemporary racing career, chassis 0689GT was sold to the United States. Following a spell of two decades in Europe, it recently returned to the United States where it was completely restored to its original configuration. At what we believe is the car's post-restoration debut, it is seen here during the 2011 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
