Chassis:
Production of the LP400S Countach commenced in 1978 with chassis 1121001, making the featured example one of the first 50 off the line. These featured Campagnolo Bravo wheels, lower suspension and smaller gauges compared to the later versions. Chassis 1121038 was built to special order of HRH Prince Turki Bin Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is the only early 400S finished in Tahiti Blue and one of only two with the 'Walter Wolf / Dallara' rear wing at the factory.
Prince Turki Bin Saud took delivery of the car in Saudi Arabia in 1979 but within a year had the Countach LP400S shipped to the United States. He used the striking machine when he stayed at his California home. Now in new hands, the car was fully restored by marque-experts Bobileff Motorcars in 2009 and 2010. In beautiful condition, it was displayed by Lamborghini historian and dealer Joe Sackey at the 2011 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
