Like so many other Isottas, the featured 8A SS was delivered new to the United States complete with a striking Castagna Torpedo body. After being owned for over half a century by the same American lawyer, it returned to Europe recently. After a thorough restoration, the car debuted at the 2006 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The car was very received by the public who awarded it the Coppa d'Oro for best in show by public referendum.
