| I LIKE IT!! |

Ok, the Copen only recently arrived in Australia (Yes and it sux there are too many cops, but they mostly use STATIC sensor cameras so you know when to slow down again, NOT that I ever speed, No not me)Anyhoo, I was worried when I saw it that I wouldn't fit coz I'm tall, but i did and after the initial cringe as the roof slid over my head I fit well. I'd seriously consider bright colours for the Copen as larger cars NEED to see you, I have a green car and that is practically invisible. How would a dark coloured midgit car like the Copen go amongst the Commodore and Falcon? Midgit with all due credit, the fuel economy is awesome and it is loveable. I wonder if you can red AND yellow? Hmmm... |
| Copen the great! |

Well I finally received my red Copen 2 months ago after a 6 month wait. Living in Japan does have its advantages. And I can assure you it was well worth the wait. The car goes great! However I did change the 50mm stainless exhaust system for a 100mm stainless exhaust system which upped the power 15% not to mention sounding great. I feel sorry for you people who live in countries like Australia which restrict the use of a large exhaust and have too many police to enjoy driving. If someone gave me a Porsche I would sell it and buy a few different coloured Copen. |

I made a mistake below. It should read Zero to 100Km (0 to 60 mph) in 9 seconds. Not 11. The car also red lines at 8,500. A buzz! |
| No boot room? |
| glenn 6-11-2002 |
Performance figures. Power 47kW (64ps) / 6000. Max Torque 110N.m Zero to 100k in11 seconds. And for Noddys new toyEWho needs a boot anyway? This is for a second fun car! Not to do the shopping or pick up the kids. Actually there is still enough room in the boot for a set of golf clubs when the roof is open. |

Just test drove the Copen for the third time and will be placing an order. The car goes like a rocket, the finish is great! The convertible roof is very smooth and quite. Great value for money considering it is all hand assembled by a team who work on one car at a time from start to finish. Here in Japan the price is 1.5 million yen. Guess what? even at high speeds you dont get any wind in your hair. Very quite also except for the hum of its powerful little engine. I love it! |
| Cute? well.... |

Just cause Latenight can't spell is no reason to bum him out, he has and opinion, and he has the right to use it. I was just inquiring if you just bought one? But seriously, could you handle all the swoons of the Hairdressers around the world, rushing to sit in your car and wreck their hairdos?? Folding roofs only work in big cars where they don't make the car look titchy, sorry, just expressing mine... |
| Copen - a gorgeous car |

Shame on those who don't see the cuteness in the Copen (and who can't spell)... I think that this is one of the best value for money convertibles on the market, and totally cute, a lot of cues from the classic 356 Speedster. I just bought one for my wife and she is thrilled - and I'm thrilled at the total cost of ownership... Good on you, Daihatsu |
| I would get 1 |

| Noddys new toy! |

The Daihatsu Copen, though very cute, can only be described as the car Noddy and Big ears would head into Toy Town with. Because even the pure nuts Japanese Buying marketwouldn't buy it. Why? When you fold the steel roof (needed for posing) you run out of boot space, Poor them! |
| What do you get when u cross a Ford Thunderbird & an Audi TT |
| McL 99 20-8-2002 |
A Daihatsu Copen! The Copen's headlights are similar to the Ford Thunderbird & the body styling is similar to the Audi TT. They didn't get it right when they were desinging the Copen. Shame on Daihatsu! |
