I took my 2002 WS6 to the track last night, man i had a shitty run. I ran with street tires and i spunn at least half way down the track on my 3rd run. With no grip i ran a 14.4. yea i know kinda bad time, but i could NOT keep those tires stuck to the ground even after i shifted to 2nd and 3rd. Its a stock motor with no cats(O2 sims), cut air box and a K&N filter. I think ima ask for slicks for X-mas. BUT i love my car, |

I bought 2001 arctic white ws6 in 05. since that day I have done a few upgrades to the already impressive 325hp mustang eating monster she was. I started with a hooker LS1 cat back exhaust system,(this is great for those that want a quiet idle and cruise, but step on it and WOW!!! people think twice about picking on you). MAF sensor, throttle body, and intake manifold (all 85mm). A cold air induction w K&N filters, MSD ignition, and computer reprogramming, wheels and tires, just to name a few. Now she's sitting at 420hp, 0-60 in 4.1 and the 1/4 mile in a respectable 12.1 Most of these upgrades can be done in the driveway over the weekend, and offer impressive gains. so far the only thing I have been beaten by (badly I might add) was the Corvette Z06. but I'm not even upset about that. Mustangs keep wanting a piece of it, but they are easily shot down, even the new Shelby GT 500 was embarrassed, but he was heavy one girlfriend "watch this baby!" he said, I'm still laughing over that! other victories include... Lotus Elise Dodge Viper RT-10 Various "lesser" Corvettes Mustangs galore! Rice burner after rice burner! (these kids never learn, Sure 400 hp is impressive, but only 110 lbs of torque? COME ON MAN!) Ferrari 308 GTB and several beautiful classic muscle cars around town. I paced a Lamborghini Murcielago, but he would take the bait... just as well, I would have lost that one, but we looked cool together lol! |

I was lucky enough to buy one of these bad boys in Metallic Navy Blue. The 2001 Trans Am WS6 is not a car to dismiss lightly. Kids see this ride on the road and think its a typical V6 Firebird. So they try to embarrass you by speeding past you while you're doing 75 mph. You grin and put your foot down rising to the challenge. Before they've registered that the new noise they hear is the car they just passed, you've gone from 75-110 mph in less than 3 to 5 seconds. And they're already looking at your tail lights again. At 75 mph the engine is just a hair over 2,000 RPM in 4th gear. I knew another WS6 owner that made the mistake of downshifting to 3rd at 75...the tires broke traction and started smoking... Its a hard core ride, rice-burners don't even fit into the picture. |

This car looks fantastic. Just the sort of thing an Aussie muscle car buyer would love, but we aren't going to get it. This is the only thing I dislike about General Motors-Holden. We don't get Chevy, Pontiac, or Cadillac here in Australia, because GM are afraid that they will step on Holden's toes. It doesn't matter that the different models have been clashing in their domestic market for years. Having said that, I think America needs more Aussie cars. You've got the Holden Monaro (Pontiac GTO), but our Ford Falcons are the best value muscle cars in the world. The XR6 Turbo makes 240kW (about 310HP) and has awesome chassis balance and suspension for a performance car based on a sedan, and is a very cheap car when converted to $USD. Go out and tell Ford US you want Falcons NOW! |
| Great car |

awww man i cant believe i am the first person to comment on this car this car is unbelievable it is really fast and has a mean tough look i own one of these 325 bhp and it the best car i driven yet. people dont really give this car much credit but this is a real american muscle car .I have raced all types of euros camaros mustangs and ive enjoyed beating them all. its not really true when they say I4 engines can take out v8's. fastest I4 engine i know of is a lancer evolution running in 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds but being a 13.8 1/4 quarter mile car. This car is equally match with a Camaro SS except trans ams are a bit faster with better aerodynamics and less weight oh yeah 5.5 in 0 to 60 13.3 in quarter mile for 33 k not bad Trans AMs RUle |
