OK. I own an 03 Tiburon V6 and I can personally vouche for the fact that it does a 0-60 run faster than 8 seconds, and so does Car and Driver and Road&Track. As far as horsepower goes, 171 is a little on the low side too. I'm not guessing its the highest number I've heard quoted which is around 184, but somewhere in the middle is probable. As for the top speed of 135.... I've personally gone faster and you can find videos on youtube of people doing in their stocker tiburons. 140 has been achieved. As far as nose heavy on the V6, can't argue there but a little bolt on suspension work takes care of that. Fact of the matter is there is no better looking sports compact for under 20 grand. period.
 not bad.

i just brought one of these, am very impressed with the acceleration, but for a 2.7 v6, top speed is none to amazing. very good build quality, good looks, steptronic option much fun, alloys on the mid range look naff.
 Good, but can be better.

This Coupe is good, and being Hyundai, it is awfully cheap, but for such an accomplised Coupe. In Singapore, we are offered the 2.0L and 2.7L versions, with only S$13,000 separating the 2.0L(m) and 2.7L(auto) (2.0L costs above S$99,000, 2.7L costs about S$112,000). Performance wise, it is a big improvement over the previous Coupe, and with the 2.7L V6 engine, it is able to accelerate well! One thing bad is that the 2.7L feels 'nose-heavy' when compared with the 2.0L. However, what's pleasantly surprising is the very good build quality and the soft-touch plastics in the cabin. I wonder about reliability... Korean cars have terrible reliability records.

"sure maybe it looks like a Ferrari 456, but to me it resembles the toyota supra tt. Hyundai just copied japan's supra. if interested, i found awesome kits at www.sharkracing.com be sure to check out all the body kits for the 2003 tiburon/tuscani/coupe fx/coupe v6. my favourite was the ""Min Garage Kit"" """

In Europe this car is marketed without any name whatsoever.
 Not just Hyundai Coupe

The name of this vehicle is the Tiburon. The name Tiburon, which means shark, is actually the American-made name. The original name for this vehicle was the Tuscani.

Now, this is first good looking Korean car. Maybe it's back side and some details look like ones from Ferrari 456... but it's positive thing... look at its rear spoiler and exaust pipes... it's enterior doesn't look cheap anymore... and all of this for less than $25000...Good job Hyundai!
