I am surprised at the criticism of the Lincoln Mark 9 concept. It was clearly the most sophisticated,and elegant show car to appear from Ford in a long time. A perfect direction for Lincoln to have taken. I personally was looking forward to sitting proudly in my Mark 9 next to any European or Japanese luxury car. Now 5 nearly five years later still no Mark 9 production car? It is more obvious than ever that Ford must be trying to kill Lincoln. I mean have you seen the new 07 Navigator? Simply gross. The Zeyphor is totally forgetable. Not a single Cadillac owner is going to come back to Lincoln for that car,let alone import owners. |

"I have a Lincoln Mark III i'm currently restoring. I LOVE lincolns, but c'mon now, what happened to ford? the styling cues are the right ones, but the tangent they left on was the wrong one. The continental concept is more in line with lincoln ideology, but there are still things left to be desired. Front end of this 'thing'- squished Merc. mountaineer. I don't recall what size but i'm sure the wheels are too big. And if i remember correctly this is supposed to be the lincoln with the outsourced V16, sounds nice, but something about it just didn't sound right. And besides it was the exact engine dare i write, ""caddy"" was thinking of using on their latest concept. I love some things about this new car, but i believe ford missed the the mark. And last thing putting ""lincoln MK9"" on the sill is wrong, IT'S MARK IX. I must concer with buggyman." |

The overall shape is quite nice. I would do some rework on the headlights and tail lights. And maybe tone down some of the conservativeness and add some fresh touch. |
