 Actually, makes perfect sense.

i'm gonna have to be the minority here by vouching for this car. A few things : A luxury car doesn't HAVE to be fwd. The Cadillac Seville has an excellent 300HP v-8 Northstar engine driving the front wheels, and same with Japanese near-lux entries like the Diamante, TL, TSX, and Maxima. Now, you may say the HCD7 is intended to be far upmarket of the $25 to $30 grand range. Actually, judging by Hyundai's past experiments in design, like the Bentley-looking XG350 ($25K) and the Ferrari-looking Tiburon ($18K), I'd say they could retail this car with Maxima power and more space for under $30K. Is that really scandalous? Since this all seems to make sense to me, I think everyone's real problem is that Hyundai is thinking (key word THINKING) of making a car that could directly compete with entry-lux cars like the G35, IS, and even the *gasp* 3-series. I see no problem with Koreans moving slightly upmarket. One more thing. Remember everyone: THIS IS ONLY A CONCEPT.
Yet another poor quality European imitation.

This car is a discrace to the performance car industry. Hyundai is a cheap, poor-quality mass producer of cars which should stick to what it is good at and not products which waste this earths resources. Just look at this model, it is a V8 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE!!!! What do you want to do, drive only half of the car around. Cars should not be designed to have so much power at the front.

Could someone tell Hyundai that its possible to put power to the rear wheels. They could buy this technology if they cant work it out for themselves. This thing doesnt look all bad, in Hyundai terms, but front wheel drive V8 limo, are they trying to keep COSTS down?

I don't know why so many people still have something against Hyundai. True, its no pretige brand, yet. But give them credit for being the fastest improving brand in years! This car shows its ambition to be up there someday. And at the rate they are progressing design wise at least, they are right on track I tell you! You can bet with me a milion dollars right now and then! This car is GORGEOUS. The Maybach on the other hand is embarassingly UGLY. So way the comparision? If the Maybach looked half this good, I'd respect it as a Phanton competitor. But as of now, no. Maybe Merc SHOULD borrow this design for M'Bach...
 Oh Please...

Well put. The 'Hyundai Maybach' dosen't look worthwhile in the slightest. A 200Kw V8 is stupid, even though it doesn't state the weight, and front wheel drive??? Please, Hyundai should stick to creating cars more like the Tirburon, and leave this market well alone.
 Hyundai Maybach?

The Hyundai Maybach has been payed out on for looking like the Grandular. This one looks even more like a like a maybach, it is dissapointing that merc can cret such an ugly car.

I don't even kno how this car got onto this website...Hyundai is a battybwoy company..i only respect one of their cars and that is the 2002 (noticed how i said 2002) Tiburon GT because of its class and whats under the hood for about 19 K canadian...pretty safe eh...but as for this particular car, it is crap...get it off this site please...this site doesn't need this kind of embarassment, it is cool the way it is
