You obviously haven't driven a porsche if you say it needs to be slowed to a snail's pace to safely round a corner. If you're talking about the same generation of Porsche (any model) as your X5, then you can safely take a corner at easily a roadrunner's pace. Sure you may have left 911's in the dust, but they're probably also 15+ years old. Either that or they didn't see the point in racing an SUV and simply weren't even trying. There's no way your 4.6 will take a 993 or later, sorry.

Hi just read forum on this fantastic car, I have a 4.6is and would love to upgrade to this machine!!
I love to hear from posche fans who think they are fast in there 911's, I have had a race with a couple of them and left them standing, including on corners.....
As for an x5 rolling over, I really wish people would stop comparisons with all other SUV's, my car is like glue around the corners, and only steps out of line if hard accelation is done on apex.....unlike a porsche, which will require you to slow to a snail pace!!!
long live the x5 ....

note to BMW, please give me a le mans kit that is available for my X5
 A car like no other

As an example of how good the X5 platform works I think this was a success. I have trouble seeing the point in expending so much energy making a 4x4 drive like a saloon when you can just have a saloon! Having said that though, I saw this car in the flesh last year at Goodwood F of S and the sight and sound as it smoked it tyres struggling to put down 700 screaming bhp off the start line will stay with me for a very long time.

Why do you build a car like this, im sure that it would roll if you came to fast in a sharp turn.

This is totally outrageous, a X5 Le Mans with a V-12 700bhp, it does 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph!!! But this is not for sale and BMW will never let the X5 Le Mans go on production... just too bad!!!!

A V12, 522kW AWD X5??!?! Unbelievable, pity it's not street worthy, because this is the fastest SUV I've ever heard of.
 Fantastic!

Well, yes. It's Fantastic! A normal BMW X5 has only 286hp. This one - 700hp!!!That's like 2.4475524475524475524475524475524 times as good! (It really is according to my calculator...) Doesn't look that nice though. But then again, who cares? It's like the most powerful SUV (SAV actually), but the Porsche Cayenne is the most powerful production SUV/SAV (but it's the ugliest looking SUV/SAV!).
 I'm alright jack

"Normally I don't mind SUV's, I wouldn't be seen driving one, heck, I don't live on a farm (hehehe), but lets be honest; Normal SUV = Slow, I could probably avoid it in an accident, and chances are if it hit me it probably wouldn't be going that fast This Monster = You're hit, you're dead, they get charged for leaving the scene of an accident ""Sorry your honour, didn't feel it, never mind see it..."" (addendum ... ""Just trying to get to the next petrol station.."")"""

this car is absolutly sick!!! the X5 is one of the fastest SUV's on the market, but the V12 edition just adds to the beauty and performance of the car. the interior falls nothing short of BMW's high standard of luxury. This car is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) SUV i have ever seen in my life. It has the right amount of performance and luxury!
