Super Saab |

Having owned a '89 900s then a '95 900t and now a '00 9-5 I can honestly say that the new 9-3 takes the best Saab ideas of the past coming up with a truly superb drivers car. The solid chasis and very well tuned suspension does a marvelous job of harnessing the powerful turbo motor even in light pressure 2.0t form (the HOT motor has yet to hit the North American market). Bravo to Saab! Let's hope the new 9-3 does it's job and helps Saab grow it's market share. |
it is good but not that good yet |

This i think is the best car saab has ever created on their whole history of making cars. It looks absolutely beautiful and eye cathing and has good power, handles well and has a good price tag but it will still never lure 3 series or A4 buyers. Saab still does not have the class or the name to do such a thing yet. They are the total opposite to jaguar who can lure a4 and 3 series buyers easily thanks to their very much appreciated X-type which is both good and not too expensive. Their aeros including the 9-5 has power but not that much of power. It still needs to have more, much more power to compete with these mainstream models. It is a good car but i would still take a 3 series or better still the audi A4!! |

I own a Saab 95 HOT AERO Estate which is a thoroughly accomplished car. I am very pleased with it: it is comfortable, practical and 250bhp makes it quicker than its competitors. I love the lines of the 93 and think it to be a great car. |
goodbye 3 series!!! |

"this car has beaten the BMW 3 series, finally! It had beaten the 3 series in every possible way; performance, ride, braking, interior and besically overall but saab has yey to touch the M3 yet. Audi, volvo and merc have all touched the M3 and BMW is geeting a bit worried. Saab could have their share in the M3 sector maybe by twin turbo charging their 9-3 or maybe offer bigger engine displacements for hard core saab enthusiats and if saab is planning to make their AERO department as big as BMWs M division they better do something big to their 9-3 Aero and after that they will be flying!! GM should be proud!!" |
9-3 |

Saab has tried to make this a direct alternative to the bmw 3 series (hence its name 9-3), then 9-5 (5 series). If you think this car looks aeshetically pleasing with its crisp lines, then wait for the new saab 9-3 cabriolet. I have seen and later on this month going to be driving the cabriolet. It will be coming out in early 2004, and it is a beauty! There will be no hardtop like the considerably more expensive Mercedes series. But with prices to be a tiny fraction higher than the current 9-3 , little scuttle shake, and the ability to seat 4 in lavish open top motoring, it will startle the audi/bmw/mercedes crowd. |
110% Elegant |

The overall proportions, front and rear styling and silhouette of this Saab are amazingly clean! This has to be one of the purest, cleanest, most aesteticaly pleasing cars EVER. It beats out even my favorite example of pure no-nonsense styling: the 5 series BMWs. Simply beautiful, nothing more, nothing less. |

"Saab is one of those few brands that have a spirit within their customers. Either you love the Saabs or you hate them. That's basically how it works. The interior has had a airplane cockpit-style look which kept the SAAB aeroplane tradition going. Fact is that SAAB produces a fighter jet (JAS 39 Gripen) and SAAB also stands for ""Svenska Aeroplan aktiebolaget"". That means ""Swedish Aeroplane Company"". Anyway, Saab and Volvo have always had different buyers. Saab had their weird hatchbacks; turbo and sportier image while Volvo were boxy, safe and conventional. Saab has stuck to their ability and making simple solutions complicated and are known for having the ignition in between the front seats. Saab still has the ignition in the middle but now the cars aren't hatches. This Saab is probably the end to the incredibly high percentage of buyers who changes their old Saab to a new one. This is probably the end to being called old peoples car. And this is most likely the end to being called boring. This is the beginning of something completely new. """ |
Amazing |

The Saab 9-3 Aero in simply Amazing! The complete change in the looks improved Saab's reputation of making cars for old people. Keep on the good work. |
