Sure the IS300 isn't perfect but it makes a change from the bland 3 series estate or A4 avant. It looks cooler and is a little cheaper. If you like Beemers, for god's sake buy a 3 series but if you don't then consider one of these.
 Not the right car!

to me the lexus is300 sportcross is the cheapest, good and continental like estate money can buy(audi still makes the best estates and i am proud of that) This is much cheaper than a 3 series touring and that is why it is good. Interior and is pure lexus not as good as bmws interior though. But just look at those dials and gauges. Some people actually buy the Lexus IS because of its dials. it is so cool and retro that it is really a distraction to the driver so it may be quite dangerous. But this is the most practical lexus anybody can buy!

Again, just another wanna-be BMW from Lexus. I'm sure it's a nice car and all but it is not as perfectioned as a 3-series BMW is, no wonder they call it the ultimate driving machine.

Odd styling really, it looks like an after thought similar to the Renault 20 from 10 years ago. If you really want to go fast check out the Alfa 156 GTA sportswagon, gives you some elegance, very little space, but a real engine.
 Nintendo problem

"In one article from a very respectful magazine, the Lexus was considered the ""BMW for the Nintendo generation"", and they had some reason, and there is one of the problems with this new car. I agree that this machine needs a manual transmision to take real part in the competition of sport wagons. Must say to, that in the driving area, the Alfa Romeo 156 sport wagon can't kick licke this japanese ""sportcross""."""

Not bad power but Toyota NEEDS to put a manual transmission in. They say they will soon but i haven't seen it yet.
