first time i ever saw this car was in the MPH03 in earls court during november 2003 and it was stiing next to a pagani zonda and when i first saw it i thought what is this amazing i first thought it was italian and was going to cost 200k and talked to the guy its a british car and ive heard it running its amzing the typically V8 sound u expect yes i know i have it isnt the fastes car around but the invicta salesmen explained this to me as its not suppose to its a car to drive in comfort and a decent amount of power to get u going and if u have seen the car the width of it is huge well that what i have to say invicta are back |

The car is beautiful. Yes there are faster cars out there but is it always about speed? If so whats the point of any Ferrari as the McLaren F1 is faster than any Ferrari. Whats the point of keeping a classic car as most new ones are faster. Its not always about speed, its about looks, comfort and to be noticed. If a Ferrari 360 and an Invicta where driving down the street which would you look at? I would look at the Invicta as Ferrari 360 and 550 are so common now. Personally most people who buy them do if for the name and its the done thing to say you drive a Ferrari. For more than half the price of a Ferrari 360, you will get a car that looks a lot better, more unique and performs better than 98% of the cars on the road. I was astonished by the price which these are selling for when I read it at the Birmingham Motor Show, and personally I think it was one of, if not the best looking car there. I really hope this car does well and if I had the money I would buy one. British sports cars are not about 0-60's, 1/4 mile times or power out puts. British sports cars are about handling. No other car manufacturer can produce a car that handles as good as a British car with out having special 4 wheel drive, or tons of technology to keep it on the road. Lotus Elise, Lotus Epsrit, Noble M12, Vauxhall VX220, Mini Cooper are just a small number of British cars which are world famed for there road holding abilities, and its all down to superb design and not computer driven driving aids I feel when they come to test drive this car, they will say that is handles like a dream and do the British Car Industry proud. |

This car is beautiful. The back end is nice, it makes it look really powerful. Who cares about where the lights are from. The Invicta looks nicer than things like Corvettes, Z8s and even Tuscans. Id put this car up there with cars like Carreras and Spykers looks-wise. Ive got to say this is no comparison to a 360 Modena. The Modena is more prestigious, more powerful (Invicta 320bhp, Modena - 400) , faster (Invicta 5s/171 mph, Modena 4.3s/183 mph.) How ever the 360 is also a lot more expensive new probably not when every one wants one, second hand prices will be sky high. Check youre figures before you speak Outlaw. The Invicta is more stylish and comfortable than the 360 any day. What else do you expect from British cars! |
| How to buy |
| Supra2NR 18-11-2002 |
The Invicta S1 will begin production in 2003 and will cost around 69,950 pounds (British). They are only planning on building 1 car per month throughout the year, and have to be ordered directly from the company. Production will gradually increase over time, but with only 12 cars being built next year you can bet it's too late to get one any time soon. |
| Strange... |

Isn't it so strange that one of the most inventive and innovative engines on the market at the moment powers the two most liked cars on this site? this car rocks, but what ford australia has done to bring this engine to australia in a car that costs less than Aus $50,000 (US $25000) and have it putting out 290kW is just astounding. nowhere else in the world can you buy such powerful cars for so little. even the famous STI can't keep pace. Well done ford. |

So what? I really don't know how this car handles, test drivers will most probably discover it for us all, and this is all for the technical speech. About the styling, well, It doesn't really look particularly interesting to me. looking the lower rear bumper you can say there is no specially moulded undertray to create some ground effect and stick the car to the ground. The rest of the car looks quite conventional, I'd say designed with poor fantasy and apparently not looking for functionality either. I mean I'm no great fan of the F360 Modena, but since its styling is made for functionality I can make myself to like it, but this one looks just poorly refined, it looks just like a soap bar, somehow out of proportions like many of the British small brands' sportscars of the '90s. And have you seen the rear lights? My GOD those are the VW Passat sedan lights! They're just mounted rotated of 90 degrees and switched the left element with the right. I'm not saying this isn't a good car, for what little I know about it, it may be a good or very good performer, but if you want to be serious judjing the value of design, then this car has almost nothing to say, nothing new either. |
| It looks bloody good! |

I love this car. I really do. It looks like a gentle giant or something in front, but the power defies that look. It then seems more like its going to swallow your pitiful little car whole. The lines are gorgeous. Its got ample power to make a Modena nervous, while at the same time being so much cheaper. It resurrects a fantastic old racing marque, and yet another British classic. Its absolutely beautiful from most angles, and has a smooth overall look, reminding me of the Carrera GT. Its got a damn good engine, very reliable, very proven. ITs got fairly unique styling, and from what I hear excellent build quality. Damn it, this car better do good in the market or I WILL knock around some heads! |
