| G6 |

So...i own a 2006 G6 V6 - and personally I love it, it's got enough horsepower to get the job done and it's just fun to drive not to mention it looks pretty nice too - i agree it is a little plain but sometimes plain works. I wish it had the specs that the concept does but hey i'll settle.... |
| Great car/ overdone review |

This is the best looking GM car i have ever seen. It holds a stance (appearance) like the rx8 and has beautiful static features to compliment. But all i really see from this car is looks. I seriously doubt that it will get a supercharger and AWD. Its displacement, the Grand Am, doesn't have them so why would the G6. Those options would make the G6 almost as much as the GTO and GM would lose serious sales to tough competitors such as the Mazda 6, Accord, and Altima. If i were the manufacturer, the G6 would have a mid-size V6 with about 200hp, FWD, automatic or manual transmission. It would be loaded with options and the only sporty features would be the suspention and exhaust. However, a GT model could have some goodies packed in. But with a car that looks this cool. People will want you to drive slow just so they can look at it. |

285 HP and AWD? Sharp styling and neat packaging?? What more could you ask??? Pontiac has done its homework and GM has paid the tuition - all so that this new car enter the marketplace with a splash. Hats off to the designers for one of the best automotive products I've seen in some time. HUZZAH! (Translation: Itz da' bomb dawg!) THANX! (THis from a '05 Chrysler 300C owner) |

I don't think that the G6 is necessarily ugly but I do agree that GM is making their cars to plain. Also, what's up with making cars in Sedans only, sedans are ugly. What was wrong with offering them in coupes. For instance I absolutely love the Bonneville but I hate the 4 doors so we don't buy them- I use to like the Grand Prix's alot too and GM just had them come only in 4 doors too, now the G6. GM don't you get it--- 4 doors a too ugly on any car. Asside from it unfortunately being a sedan I certainly hope it's bigger than the Grand Am. |
| Well.... |

I feel that this is a nice looking car. BUT!!, I feel that Pontiac should continue the Grand AM, look around its a great selling car i have one myself. But if they're going to go with this car i think there should be the option of a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission available for this vehicle. Who wants a supercharged car thats automatic? i sure as hell would not! They did the same thing with the GTP, im not sure about the new models of the GTP whether you can get them with a manual transmission or not. |

"I can't wait to see this car in the showroom. Some people say it looks like a Chrysler 300M, which is one of the things i like about it, since Chrysler is dropping the 300M (""Duh!"") for that square thing the 300C? Yikes! It was about time Pontiac would step up to the plate with a clean line car and the performance package to follow. I believe this is a great replacement to that old and chunky GrandAm, so get to work you guys, I'm waiting for my test drive. If it drives as good as it looks, it's SOLD!!" |
| Ugly |
| rebj 3-12-2003 |
I don't know why so many people are saying great things about this car. I signed up on this site just so I can say how much this car disgusts me. IT'S UGLY. It looks like a 300 M? Is that supposed to be a good thing? Pontiac is making really plain ugly cars now. The Firebird Trans Am was beautiful and now they have the incredibly plain GTO and now this. I was shocked when they made the incredibly ugly vibe and aztec, but pontiac has gone too far. I'm keeping my Grand AM just to remind me of what Pontiac used to be. the GTO might as well be a honda accord with a Grand Prix front bumper and V8 engine. Pontiac is being really dumb by getting rid of their best selling car and replacing it with something no one will buy half as much of. Not only that, it's going to cost a lot more than the Grand AM and they are going to lose a lot of money. They had better chances with the grand am and putting a supercharged all wheel drive powertrain in it than this ugly G6. Pontiac, what happened to you? |
| just go with it |

"I have a few things to say about this car. first of all im only 16, so i wasnt around when pontiac was a performance icon. i am around in the time when pontiac carries that ""rental car"" image. so naturally i have never been a big fan of pontiac. but this car, WOW, that is the only way to put it. the shape is perfect, it is by far one of the best looking cars i have ever seen, so smooth and so elegant, but it can also look very fast and aggresive.i just hope that pontiac doesnt water this car down by production time, i mean, give this thing a real engine, give it RWD with an AWD option and keep this design..NO BODY CLADDING..and let it do great things...awesome job on the concept pontiac." |

Lets hope they build this with a torsen center differential. We traded our Grand Am for an Audi A4 V6 just for the all wheel drive. This G6 looks like a great alternative. But it had to provide traction on par with the quattro. Great body lines. |
| Pretty but Deja Vu ? |

Beautiful Taut shape. If this is anyhing to go by, Pontiac's future is brighter than it seems. But I see overtones of other cars here though.A very futiristic Chrysler 300M? Or a curvier and more aggressive Nissan Primera? Anyway, great job. The interior looks set for production... So would be this car? |
| Slick Metal |
| wanam3 17-2-2003 |
EXTREMELY smoooooth sheetmetal. I think it's one of the best looking cars I have seen and should be headed for production. I do take exception to the grill on this vehicle and the solstice. It is just a cheesy looking part of the car and could be improved, but DON'T change the lines on the body. All in all, GM should take a lesson from Chrysler and start producing some of these cars. Nice concept car that will probably be watered down by the time it reaches production. |
| Gorgeous! |
| ssilvik 16-2-2003 |
This is one of the nicest, cleanest and most elegant Pontiacs of all time. I think this car looks more upscale than most Benzes or Lexuses. Supposedly this is a good looks at what the new Grand Am will look like. A Grand Am with all-wheel drive. I've been saying Pontiac should be the AWD division for years! MAke the next Grand Prix And Bonneville RWD with the option of AWD variants. That way all us guys in New England can have our cake (high performance car) and eat it too... (drive it in the winter) |
| Way to go!!!!!!!! |
| Andonis 15-2-2003 |
I hope we're seeing here the next Grand Am. Starting with the Solstice, seems like Pontiac has stepped into a new era, gone back to roots in terms of design. Very simple, very clean, and yet so exciting. That's what Pontiac is all about. |
