Shape and design has always stoped mercury from exceding it`s expectations. As if the cougar wasn`t enough. It is a good car, but can use some serious designing on the exterior, not the interior. |

Why Mercury do you call it a Messanger when it is obviously the Capri of the next century. Mercury, two things: build this car, and build it better than you did the Capri. |

"Hats off to Mercury for this one. I fell in love with the Mustang concept and was ready to put in a purchase, then I saw this. This is a muscle car of a different type. The Mustang concept is retro like the Thunderbird, advancing what was good in the past forward with whats good now. The Messenger, however, is totally new but still manages to capture that essence. Messenger reinvent's a class of car that we have not seen in awhile; the luxury muscle car. Remember the two-door Mercury and Oldsmobile street monsters of decades ago? The same kick in the pants as their Ford and Chevy brethren but more refined. This is definately more sophisticated than the Mustang. Listen up accountants, more sophisticated package means an entirely different customer base. This will sell better than the Marauder. I must say, smart move Mercury. Now I just can't wait to hear it!" |

Finally, something good from Mercury. While not show-stopping piece like the Ford Mustang or GT concepts, it is a subtle, well-executed car that continues and actually promotes Mercury's new design outlook - sharp edges with a very modern, linear, and sleek look. It is a very good-looking car that can sure turn heads. Mybe if Mercury quit making Ford copies and would promote models like this in the future with its own design elements, it can finally get back into the car game. Build it or something like it, Ford. It shows good taste. |

I mean y not? Its fast and cool looking. And all the other mercurys are boring. This would give them an awesome sports car. |
