There will never be a chevy able to do the things dodges do. Mopars always had more power than ford and chevy. My dad had a 68 road runner with a 383 4 spd it smoked every ford and chevy in town. |

Everyone one has a certin taste about cars or trucks. That's why there are a houndred different car companies and thousands of models of cars. Some people may like a Trail Blazer to an Envoy. Even though they are the same car. Maybe it'sjust a symbol or a grill pattern. But there is nothing the same from this Durango to the one in my Drive way now. I think this a great step for Dodge. They are different. And different is what all Dodge owners love about there vehicles. Before the Durango, there was a Explorer, to small for a 5 person family with a dog or 2. Then there was a Tahoe, A little big for a mom who lugs kids to school and goes down the block to get her hair done. Also a fuel guzzler. Then there was a Durango. In between to big and to small. The perfect ute. A good size with nice shapes to it. Also a great engine that is over 30 years old and a proven tranmission. Also a solid chassie. Belive me!!! That truck took a great shot against a stooped idiot in a Hyondia Santi Fe. The lady blows a light and runs into my dads mint 99 Durango. The ladies car was hit so bad on the passenger door panel, it whent right up to her center console. The air bags whent off and my dad wound up with nothing broken or bruesed but a wrecked car. The chasie bent and the car was totaled. My father said it took such a good shot that he couldn't belive it, and that chasie cars were the way to go. Uni bodies may be good for a Hyundia, but not for him. Hopefully that lady will think twice blowing a light again. But with a Durango, nothing is cheap about this car, and it's worth it's money. People may say it's alot of money to buck up, but it's not. My dad's new 2002 Durango is great!!! It does ride nicer then the 99 with a 5.2 liter and 4 speed with over drive. This 2002 has a 4.7 liter 5 speed with a double overdrive. The engines run good but do need a little bit better gas milage out of them. I could see it in the 5.2 litter with it's bad engine seals, that were replaced by warrentie, but the 4.7 litter does get 17 mpg in Pennsylvania which is ok but maybe 18 or 19 would be an improvement. But outher then that, Durangos are great. The new Durangos are a great change then it's new body, replacing it's already 6 year old body, that still looks great to my eye's, but as Dodge say's... DODGE DIFFERENT!!!!! |

Durango is tougher than anything chevy has ever built, and naturally so since it is a dodge. An aunt of mine had a chevy blazer and she had a hard time keeping it on the road if the wind was over 15 miles per hour. If she met a semi it would just about blow her off the road. She now has a Durango with over 80 thousand miles and no problems. She says the Durango has more power and handles better than the Chivvy and she will never go back to a GM product. |

I don't know where exactly the chevy boy that made his comments about chrysler is from, but here in north central North Dakota we need tough vehicles and nothing is tougher than Dodge. Dodge vehicles have been in my family for generations, my father has had seven dodge trucks all racking up over 25,000 miles a year and all were subject to below zero temperatures and above 100 degree temperatures The alternator went out on one of his pick-ups and that is the only problem he has ever had with any Dodge he has ever owned. My mother has owned two Durangos and has never had one problem with them, our neighbors on the other hand have put three transmisions in thier Tahoo with less than 60,000 miles on it,and have just had thier new chevy truck towed to the dealer to have it's first of many engines put in. CHEVYS ARE OVER RATED!!!!! |
| poor styling! |

This thing looks like an uglier version of the Jeep Liberty from every angle! The tail lights, side flanks and nose are all very similar... Maybe all Chrysler corp. products are all going to look exactly alike just as all Mercedes products have EXACTLY the same styling! I know three people personally who HAD Durangos and traded for Trailblazers and Tahoe because their transfercases and or transmitions went on the Dodoge! In one case a transfercase went at 21,000 miles! Yeah, that's QUALITY for you. Chrysler has always made CRAP but at least it used to look good, now it's complete junk AND it's UGLY too! I would rather pay sticker for a Trailblazer than take one of these for free. |
| I don't think so |

Ew man...i have a durango and this is pure shit...i mean the design and everything looks okay but think of it...Durangos are not the best SUV to buy for the price and now you see this...do you think that this SUV will be worth it? HELL NO!!! This car is likely to increase about atleast 5 grand!!! Ford Explorer Eddie Baurer Edition is more worth it! |
