"First of all I want to ask you to see my comment on Lamborghini Murcielago, now about The new Lamborghini Barchetta Concept, awesome looking and Supreme design, this is the most breathtaking and exciting supercar I have ever seen, well done Lamborghini. the concept of barchetta is to keep murcielago style on a all new fabulius looking open air supercar. this is one of the most exciting cars which appreciated in Geneva Motor show by many visitors, all new engine cab with stunning design, new shaped windows, specialy shaped driver and passenger head protection ( ""Outlaw"" You have to see pictures of car in Geneva Motorshow!!) and stunning wheels with enormous 355/25 rear tires. This will blush any Ferrari Barchetta owners, 580 horsepower on all carbon fibre body you have less than 4 seconds to reach 100Km/h. don't forget this car has the best V12 engine inside made ever, like Murcielago. just compare the style, configuration, performance and power of Murcielago with Ferrari 575,so if Ferrari makes Barchetta version of 575, Ferrari will blush again in comparasion with Murcielago Barchetta. and I'm very curious about GTR version. It seems a serious challenge between Automobili Lamborghini and other italian supercar makers, and as you see Lamborghini is beyond the others. Murcielago kicks any version of Ferrari Maranelo, Gallardo kicks any version of Modena and I'm sure the GTR version will kick Ferrari Enzo. Dear ""rik"" when you own a murcielago barchetta please send me some pictures! Automobili Lamborghini is the World's Number 1 Supercar maker and Dominates. any questions !?"

For those of us who have any appreciation for genious engineering, this car is gorgeous, turn the key and the sound will tame any disappointment about the looks, start driving and you will forget what you were disappointed about in the first place. I never liked the look of the diablo, in fact, i prefer the look of the murcielago.. but to each his own.

People tend to forget the Miura, that really made Ferrari blush. If you talk about a stylish car here you have one, no matter that it tended to take off on high speeds.

yeah I think the Murcielago has a good voer all style but all the Lamborghinis that are older by a few years have a lot more style. The aggressive look is a trait of Lamborghini and the Murcielago (Especially the Murcielago Barchetta) Just doesn't have it.

"this i think is the most subtle lamborghini in terms of styling. It does not have that aggresive look like the diablo or that muscular look like the countach. I am not a fan of lamborghini and their cars and their styling and i think ferrari was and still is miles ahead of them in terms of everything. Ferraris are more technogically advanced because of montezemolo if not their cars were still having that poor build quality and that nonsensical interior styling. Only ferraris from the 355 onwards were produced with montezemolo as president and he changed the whole concept of ferrari instead of following enzo ferraris way of making cars. Styling is basically up to the person. For me i perfer any ferrari to any lamborghini. I think lamborghini has that ""look good"" impression. Lambos i think are very big, flat and wide which is not what a sportscar or a supercar for that matter should be. With that i end by saying that no italian car company can match ferrari and that i think is a pure fact!"

Great job by lamborghini on the barchetta. This newest lamborghini could be the meanest looking machine on 4 wheels. I did not perticularly like the murcielago when it first came out, but if you truly love cars, such an impressively performing, and impressively styled car will grow on you, as the murcielago did on me. Now i think the murcielago is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen, and then Barchetta just adds to the already great looks of the murcielago. If you see a Murcielago Barchetta on the road, there will absolutely no doubt that it is a serious machine. good job lamborghini. Looks like ferrari has some serious catch-up to (not like they ever caught up anyway).

The Lamborghini Mercielago has always been one of my favorite cars, but I am completely amazed by the Barchetta!!! As if the sleek look and incredible power wasn't enough, they made it a convertable!!!! If only I had the money, I would buy one of these in a heartbeat!

I am not really a Murcielago fan but I have to say that I am very impressed with the design of the Murcielago Barchetta. Very unique and not as much of an eye-sore as the coupe. I would love to see it go into production, as I have no setbacks with this one visually. The rims are incredible and the engine bay cover crosses the line of a futuristic type of design. I love it!! Now, if only I could afford one..........

"I own a Murcielago and have previously owned a Diablo 6.0, Ferrari 360, Ferrari F355, etc... The most powerful Diablo was the 6.0GT with 580bhp, of which around 80 were made, and with its stripped out cabin and extra use of carbon fibre it was also a lot lighter than a standard Diablo 6.0. This makes it the quickest Lambo ever, both for top speed and acceleration. However, the 6.0GT is only marginally quicker than the Murcielago. The Murcielago is noticably quicker than a Diablo 6.0 due to its increased power and much better torque, and both the Diablo and Murcielago are much quicker than any ""normal"" production Ferrari. As for taming the bull, you need to be a very brave man to take a Murcielago to its red line as it is so quick. The styling of the Murcielago is more modern than the Diablo, but less aggressive. I think the Barchetta concept car has regained some of the aggression and I'm looking forward to owning one as soon as it is available, although I think the rear end needs to be diffrent to the standard Murcielago."

I do believe that you are right about the diablo, but I do think it chould with no doubt beat diablo on a quater mile track. i also agree that everthing the barchetta has is everthing the diablo does not have. I may not be a car wizard, but almost, is there a new model coming out? the gtr? If there is it will with no doubt beat the Barchetta
diablo my fav, but not the performer...

The Diablo never had more than 580hp... only the special models like twin turbo etc did... the last Diablo had 550 hp... The top speed is 330km+ it could probably go as fast as the diablo 6.0 or even faster 340 possibly.. I would probably rather the diablo design too, but other than the design the murcielago and barchetta beat the diablo in every way, and ofcourse the design is just an opinion... ive gotten really used to the Murcielago design, the front is great...the back i dont think ill ever like, the barchetta seems a bit better with the engine cover having some nice almost diablo styling. As for this ferrari stuff... This barchetta beats any Ferrari roadster/barchetta ever!! As for style... this car is a great mix of curves and lines...why would you think its 'boxy' ??? i dont get it? the only problem i have is the back which i dont like because its fat and one big round fat ass looking think like an audi. If it were sharper like the diablo but with the perfect amount of curver (just like the rest of the car) it would be great, the back, of the murcielago especially, looks slow and doesnt suit the overall style...The ultimate car design IMO would be the diablo with a front like the murcielago.

Then new murcielago is simply breath taking i cannot describe its beauty in words. and as for ferrari pffff who r they compared to lamborghini ferrari r nothing, a poor mans lambo. theres no ferrari id like to, even the simply stunning contash is more stylish than all ferrari's so ferrari lovers go hide in shame coz lambo rule supreme thats y they always win sports car of the year award like they did last year!!! :D
 I'd have a Diablo instead

"Ever since Audi has taken over, the fierce Lamborghini bull has been tained. The Murcielago has traction control, AWD and only 580 hp. The Murcielago is slower, less powerful, and bulkier than the Diablo. Where is the improvement? In my opinion, it has too many compromises, which start at reducing engine power and installing traction control. These are all built in to ""tain"" the beast. Let's face it:if you buy a supercar, you don't buy it to drive it like a family car. The Murcielago live up to it's predecesor, the Devil itlelf, the Diablo, and in my opinion, it would be anihilated by the old lambos."

"This is really is a breathtaker but the problem is, it chokes you to death after taking your breath away! This is the most hidious thing anyone could ever built. Just look at the car, it is so squared. I have seen a murcielago like a thousand times in the metal and that looks really ugly but this is really really really bad. What was lambo thinking. Lets see. ""If we built a barchetta version of the murcielago it would look really nice"", designer's qoates. My saying, ""why don't we start building tractors like what Ferrucio use to do, since all our cars are starting to look like tractors, in fact they are as big as tractors so we could just cut and paste the body but add tyres 20 times bigger then it would be the most beautiful tractor money can buy!"""

This car is absoloutely beautiful. BUT there is absoloutely no comparison with ferrari The 575 is still the best i mean the horse symbolises beauty, style, well bread and speed. Whilst a bull symbolises fierceness but rolls around in its own shit allday. Ferrari will bring out another Barchetta maybe a 575 spider. If so then lambo must stop making cars.
 Absolutely Breathtaking!!!!

Fantastic!!Super!!Breathtaking!!Beautiful!!(i'm running out of superlatives here!) This Car really rocks! I think the performance of this car will be better than the murcielago and the air vents look fantastic!! Same goes for the wheels...i would really like to see the interior and see the performance figures but i am sure that this car will not dissapoint!
Nice showcar, now, please, show us the production version

"It sure took less this time, 4 Lamborghini to come out with a new open showcar. No way this car is going to production the way it is now: low windscreen, no driver and passenger head protection. This is just to be considered a one off, just like the original Diablo roadster prototype was. Most probably the ""stock"" version will have a full size windscreen and a couple of roll bar arches and modified design to mount a hard top just like its predecessor(the stock version). About the weight issue, the fact is, although a very rare supercar, this one is no limited edition like the Enzo, McLaren F1, Zonda and alikes, so don't expect ultra light carbon fiber chassis and so on. Maybe next Lamborghini generations will fully benefit from Audi ownership and will sport an all alluminium chassis (not as good as carbon fiber, but still lighter than steel bird-cage ones). But, for now U better realize that all the murcilago contenders are indeed around the same weight category. Anyway the car is a good step ahead from the stunning Diablo design: it's clean coherent (more than the Diablo is ...or was) aggressive (more devilish than the Diablo was ...and I've seen both of them last summer). I'm sorry for the big wings fans, they're maybe disappointed with the murcilago, but if U have money enough to buy one U can tell them to bolt a wing on the hatch ...I've already seen a winged murcilago on Lambocars.com, so, please, don't complain. And all of you remember after all, for the money it costs it's a great, handcrafted, powerfull, and exciting supercar, I'm sure if U could be lucky enough to own one U'd love it and fucking want to drive over anyone who says it's not a good sportscar."

i think this is a brilliant supercar and how much its worth is brilliant compared to other supercars. But they still have a problem: WEIGHT. These cars are too heavy especially for a supercar. If they could just make future Lamborghini cars much lighter it could compete with cars such as the Zonda and Enzo but with its weight in performance wise its not good. Otherwise this is one great car!
 Very nice

Lamborghini could have a real winner on their hands with the Murcielago Barchetta. Although I personally prefer the Diablo styling over the Murcielago, I'm still amazed by how good this looks. That combined with the awesome specifications, creates in my opinion, a car that I expect to see in very high demand in the years to come.
 WOW WHAT A CAR.

It's hard to improve on perfection. I never like the color silver on a car, always liked red. These picks totally change that. This car is so awesome it would make a red viper blush. This is definately the most beautiful car I have seen yet.
 Soo nice...

It's really nice, but something IS missing! It's a bit too low and it doesn't look as 'complete' as the coupE

I don't wanna criticise, but I've heard that it will have a glass top. The Murcielago coupe is lot more elegant than this one. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful, but still something's missing. Can't really tell what.

"Ive never been into convertables that much, the upside i see is if you were tall you wouldnt have much choice but to buy this over a regular mercielago. A nice car but like i diddnt say in the mercielago section, i still prefer the Diablo design over this, its great, but could be better, the front is great! the sides awesome but no diablo....the back...lacking...looks like an Audi ;D well anywayboth great cars, and i cant wait to see some updated versions of the mercialago in years to come. GTR??"""

this car is extreamly one amazing supercar but all it is is a murcielago with no top and diferent disign at the back but i think lambo should of change the body a litle more but other wise great car one of the best out there

I was waiting for this to come out for a very long time. Now that the top is gone, this car looks soo much better. I am very excited to see these be coming around corners now. And the pictures that the site has given puts the Murcielago in a Silver car which i have never saw before. Beautiful...a true Lamborghini right there. Kudos...
