i mean xl cab chassis
 the standard utes

are 3/4 tonne, but that doenst meen they're not engineered not to be. from the pursuit to the LX cab chassis, its only the springs and dampers determining the payload, they dont alter the chassis

FPV_GTHO, are u sure? i thought that it was only the utes with the aluminium tray that carry a tonne, not the stock ones with the body trays. I thought the aluminium tray version where slightly modified, my mistake i guess. Still, the XR8 and XR6T utes arent made for a work, unless you want it to, they should've made the XR's lighter, and definitely the Pursuit.
 the utes....

....are heavier than the sedans cause theyve got the seperate box section chassis on the back supporting the tub/tray as theyre ment to be a one tonner

actually you might not think this has good weight distribution, but from what i know it does. The utes in the BA falcon range actaully weigh more than the sedan range, this has been the same for past ford utes as well. This i have no idea why, but my guess is that ford intended it to have balance and at the same time carry heavy loads. Of course, a ferrari and lambo will have better weight distribution cus, well lets face it, they're pure performance sports cars and mid-engined, this is just a sports ute. And you guys gotta remember, its only made to hold a speed record, not race, but still, with this much power, it should be able to beat a ferrari or lambo, depending on the course, though this hasnt been proven.
 It's a straight six

First post for me. Look it's a straight six, not a flat six as the earlier comments state. Just like a BMW, when will the rest of the motoring world realise just how bad V6's are? I saw his car at the motor show and it looks great. My cousin is a Holden fan and even he liked it. Can't wait for the 1200 HP V8 version, that will be awesome and should finally shut up those Holden fans.

"Its actually pretty decent looking(seeing i dont like fords {tickfords, US ford make some nice cars, if only the GT90 ;(}...youd be lucky to get me to like any Aus car, and yes im Australian =D).. but this is no race car... Very different type of car, weight distribution would be a big problem as most utes are made to have something heavy in the tray. Its just a toy of a car really.. i cant see how this could beat a ferrari at all, even with 200 more bhp than the 360 :p anyway, comparing cars of the likes of those has to be the stupidest comparison ive ever heard."

Kick ferraris ASS you say ? you know nothing about this car all you know is it has a nice engine and gullwing doors , just cause it has a big ass engine and the potential for high speed means nothing on the track. It is a flat 6 so its not like its got great engine mass , so the handeling couldnt be that good ,what about the suspension, trani , and rpm ?next time find out about the stats before making asumptions k.
 Sleeper Falcon?

When Roman AutoTek designed this car, it looks like it was designed as a Ford Falcon to be used as a sleeper car. In other words, it looks like an ordinary Falcon, but could kick a Ferrari's ass on the track. Hope to see a comparison between the Roman AutoTek Raptor, Ferrari 360 Modena and Lamborghini Gallardo someday!
