leaking roof and terribly bad car
allntowns

I have owned a 2006 megane coupe cabriolet for around one month. Any time there has been the slightest amount of rain, both seats are covered in water. There is also a great deal of wind noise when driving at speeds over 50 mph. The suspension is spongy and creaky over the slightest uneven surfaces. There is very little feedback from the steering. Driving over slightly uneven roads with the roof down and the whole car shakes very badly and makes me feel very queasy. All in all a very disappointing car to drive and I wish I was driving a Ford again. At least they make decent cars which are a pleasure to drive.

since i bought the megane coup cab in nov 05. i have returned the car 3 times for a very b ad leaking roof. It has not been repaired and has leaked in 4 different places altogether. I wish I had never sold my first soft top megane. It rates much higher than this one. I am very dissapointed
Give me back my old Megane

I have just renewed my car from a Renault Megane 2.0 to a Renault 2.0 ltr Megane 11 Coupe Cabriotet Dynamic Priviledge.
After 6 weeks,
1) The roof leaks very badly.
2) Wind noise at the passenger window.
3) Smell of burning oil.
4) Hand free locking failed.
5) Acceleration very poor.
5) Fuel consumption high.
6) No method of closing the boot unless you wear industrial gloves.
7) Radio faulty

We ordered a Megane Coupe Cabriolet last November and took delivery on April 22. Nine days later the roof mechanism failed and we are still waiting for it to be repaired seven weeks later with no possible date for repair in sight. Seven weeks of driving round in fabulous weather with the air conditioning on!!!
 Seriously pretty car

As a fan of the current Renault style of design, I consider this car one of the prettiest in its class. And living in a country where you can basically drive open-top from March to November (the Mediterranean island of Malta) it's very attractive - if it weren't for the fact that there are ridiculous taxes on cars (60% and up), and the cheapest Mgane CC here is still more expensive than the most expensive model in other countries. Still, I wouldn't mind driving the 170 bhp turbo-charged version.

Very slick, Mr. Le Quement, very slick indeed. But why did you have to make the rear end so huge, something which most prospective buyers( hairdressers, shopaholics, etc) may not want to be reminded of! I have always ben a fan of the Megane design, maybe not so much the three door, but the 5/ scenic definately. this is something i would quite happily plump for, and put up with the roof. which, for the record, is made y the same group as the 206 CC's roof, one of the most troublesome devices of 2002.
 not only peugeot competitor but....

peugeot basher. This just by looking at it you know it is going to be quite fun. It has that kind of look which tempts you to get into it and give it a real thrashing. The styling may not be to everyones liking but anyway there are design flaws in everycar and no car is perfect but if a car was perfect, there would be simply no fun at all.

Oh, very good!Mercedes, Peugeot, Lexus and now Renault too get into production Coupe-Cabriolet model. With Megane 2 style it looks very impressive.136bhp are enought for this car.The max. speed is not showed, but maybe it is over 200-220kph.It's longer than Peugeot 206CC and looks bigger than it.The hard roof is made by glass so it's better than Peugeot's and the interior is made by skin.I think this car will beat Peugeot's competitor in this class.

Apart from the fact that this is a carbon copy of the Peugeot CC's, as such it is by far the most beautiful version of the Megane, in particular because of the absence of the overdesigned rear window that makes the normal versions look ridiculous. It is obviously not for nothing that the similarly shaped Avantime has been taken out of production after 18 only months, showing that ugliness does not sell.
