"Volkswagen did a good job in designing the Concept R. They should consider revising the chrome grill but, overall the car is attractive. With it's design being lead by Peter Schreyer, former Head of Design at AUDI AG, i'm not surprised. If it makes it to production this should be serious a contender in the roadster/sports coupe market. This roadster is aimed at the Porsche Boxter; it bests the S model by 7 horses (258hp), and it should undercut the price of the $42k base model. Great car, but what car wouldn't be better with more horses? 4Motion with a rear wheel biased would also be nice."
 Bad job Volks.

After years of image building efforts on their part,it sadly doen't show on this car. I would imagine a sports car from Volkwagen to look like an Audi TT ... if you get what I mean. But this? This is a nice looking car do not mistaken. The rear especially . Although the fussy front though not bad, could do better by not being so low slung. The entire car looks Japanese! Not the clean cut Germanic profiles that Volks has adopted and personified so successfully over the years. Overall not a bad job but more Toyota than Volks. VW has somehow lost it here.
