I saw this roadster in a magazine about 6 months ago and thought it was really cool and that it looked really good. I then saw it a week ago in real life on the road and thought it was ghastly! The design concept was ok on paper but in real life it just doesn't work. Like the millenium dome, or the london eye......
 not for production.

this car was built to show the versitilty of the platform that the smart car is based. it was and never will be (at least in this form) a showroom reality, something high-lighted by the fact that you need to remove the engine to change the spark-plugs. the estimated cost for each of these cars is about 30,000 and was specially built for smart by brabus using such things as f1 fuel tank and a new 5-speed gearbox (still that ol' sequential shift) that is destined for the smart next year.

This car should be built, because it proves that you don't need a Super Car to have fun. The estimated price of 50,000 euros makes quite expensive, however, once it reach a decent production volume I'm sure the price would be more affordable. Just image beating some Mercedes,BMW's Audis & even Porsche Boxters with this pygmy of a car !! ps: It should definitely have a manual 6 speeds gearbox, with clutch ,no sequential bullshit!!!!

its obvious designers had no artistic boundries when they were creating this thing. how else would something that blatently looks like a mix between the most riced out honda crx, bmw mcoupe, and a tvr tuscan be allowed to be built ? the biturbo engine is a joke unless its allowing great gas milage. did smart feel the need to accompany the terrible looks (which conjures up images of neon track suits of the 80s) with an equally bewilderingly lame engine? the only thing this car has going for it is how light it is. but if you going to try to compete with the like of cars like the lotus elise, please put some love into what youre doing instead of burning one down and getting weird with adobe photoshop.
