| A Brighter New Chapter To A Recently Disappointing Car |
| jkdmstyle 7-1-2004 |
I used to own a 99 Mustang and that thing was a piece of #@&$. I traded it in after 7 long months of ownership and thought that I would never walk into a Ford dealer ever again to buy any Ford product, period. Well that's pretty much where the buck stops because this new Mustang has some serious promise and upside potential in my opinion. The previous generation was riding a 25 year old chassis, the interior was bland (i thought if i gave it some time i would warm up to it), and the car felt very unrefined. Granted I haven't driven a new one yet but I am convinced that this car will be just 1000% better than its forefathers. The styling is indeed much more subdued in comparison to the concept, but that was to be expected whenever a car goes into production anyways. I think Ford nowadays is at the heels of a renaissance, with the re-release of the legendary GT and now the Mustang to follow suit in the retro-chic movement. Only time will tell how well Ford has done to improve their products and maybe I'll head on down back to ol' dealer and give one of these babies a spin... |
