I have a 1.6 visia in intense blue... the car is absolutely fabulous the high driving position the comfortable seats and the appearance and the feel of the whole car is great the petrol economy on mine is 33.5/37.5 dependent on traffic and how or who is driving? As i said earlier though this car is a big hit there is on average a 13/16 week waiting list. |

After being cramped inside a BMW 1 series for 2 years I decided to have some extra space and comfort. Fortunately the Qashqai Acenta 1.6 ( petrol) came along and after a test drive I bought one. I have just been down to Devon for a few days and the car drove extremely well. With the parking sensors on the rear the car is easy to park and turning around in the narrow lanes of Devon was no problem. On the trip from Southampton I got between 35- 41.5 mpg. My wife has a bad back and the comfortable seats with good visibility helped her forget her back problems and enjoy the trip. With group 5 insurance and the road tax of £140 a year this has been a good buy. Finally, the car does not have run flat tyres which is also a big turn off re BMW as runflats give an extremely hard ride with any sports suspension. The Qashqai's suspension accomodates bad roads extremely well helped by the ordinary tyres. |

A Truely beautiful car with a touch of brute-force to take Nissan through the next decade. A car to finally allow Nissan to ditch the 'forever bland' image. The Qashqai and Murano are vehicles to lift Nissan from the 'reliable, easy to drive but boring' class into the must-have class so long associated with German manufacturers. Good luck to Nissan and I look forward to when they are available here. |
