I cannot believe that the truth has not come out yet. In fact this car was manufactured in Australia known as Holden Monaro also as a HSV Holden Special Vehicle.
Fair enough it has some modifications like the bumpers and sides, but it is not a British Car...
And I thought the base Monaro was good...

So it finally looks like Vauxhall have sat up and taken notice of what other manufacturers (Ford, Rover/MG) are doing in the UK. Not only do they give us the VX220 2.2 capable of Ferrari pace for a quarter of the price and the Monaro with that Chevy muscle (These two cars even impressed Jeremy Clarkson, they must be doing something right!) but they give us the VX220 Turbo and VXR versions of both cars with more models in the pipeline. It seems like the perfect reaction to the Focus RS (which has now ceased production) and looks set to demolish Vauxhall's stodgy reputation. Where else can you get a Chevy V8 rear engined coupe for that price? Looks like M3, Impreza and Evo drivers now have a new challenger! Can't wait to see modified Monaros in the UK taking on the best at Santa Pod! Who knows, we might even see some Horsepower stats to rival the biggest Corvettes once UK modifiers get a taste of American Muscle. The question is: Is Clarkson gonna change his attitude towards Vectra drivers before the VXR version is brought to life or is he going to have to say something for the TV cameras when he test-drives the 'VXR Vectra' for Top Gear? Come on Vauxhall, make a VXR Vectra! You know it makes sense and we all want a laugh at the fuzzy haired cowboy!
