In Beckley, West Virginia, there was a Ford dealer owned by Grady Whitlock. In driving past his showroom in '65, I saw a small white car. I stopped and discovered a GT-40. I was 16, but followed international racing and knew what it was. Even more remarkable, I asked if I could sit in it and they said yes. I imagined myself on the Mulsanne. It was fun to dream |
