I am sure that this car is the same as the one I photographed in June 2004 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it was identified as having been built for the Maharajah of Jodhpur. This would mean that, according to the Phantom chassis listing in Hugh Dalton's book "The Derby Phantoms," it is chassis number 3LC. A picture of a very similar car, but painted in red and without the disc covers for the wheels, was posted yesterday in the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.vehicles, and that car was identified by the poster as having been built for the Maharajah of Bikaner. However, Dalton makes no mention of any PI having been built for Bikaner. Perhaps you could check the chassis number of the car posted on your site?
