 just purchased a new '05 GTO.. I live in NC, but went to see my wife's family in Marion, Va. While eating in a Pizza Hut across Main Street from Marion Automotive Group (Chev, Buick, Pontiac) I spotted this BLUE car... I had to go look at it.. and wow, it was an Impluse Blue, with blue interior, GTO... I had to have it, and ended up driving it back to NC (with my wife following me in our Z71 Tahoe).. it is a wild ride, and more power than one can imagine in such a small coupe.. wife and I Love the new GTO.. and the engine/power increase, and hood scoops in '05 just made me want one... (wouldnt even consider the '04 model).. now, buying a really good radar detector... as this car is fast! Brian

 it was more than that, Holden took the opportunity to cut costs by switching both the Monaro and GTO to the same body rather than producing the unique US style body alongside the Monaro's. Now they both share the bonnet with the only difference being the firewall. smart for a business case, but locally its turned into a love/hate design, where the original 2001 design it was hard to hate

 I see that the manufacturer of the Pontiac GTO, ie., the Holden car company in Australia, has given some extra styling cues to the Pontiac GTO.. to increase its attraction. Well done!
