What an amazing car! Not only is it beautiful, in its British Racing Green paint scheme, and its gorgeous bodywork, it's also a marvel of engineering! What really caught my eye was the placement of the throttle bodies/intake trumpets! Normally the throttle bodies are placed inside the vee in V8's and V12's. These seem to be the exact opposite; on the outside of the vee. I'd be interested to know why they chose this over a more conventional placement. Lower center of gravity perhaps?

In '98 or '99 I heard it accelerating on the Jabbeke straight and what an impressive sound it was! I remember the birds flying out of the trees in a wave as the yowling XJ13 predator below drove past. Truly astonishing vehicle, but a shame it was never driven in anger or put into production. It could have been a worthy Ferrari competitor.
