It was never doubted that Fernando Alonso was an excellent driver, but even so I feel it was still a surprise to see the Renault F1 team take both championships this year. Ferrari's struggles adapting to the aerodynamic rule changes certainly didn't help, but the lightning performance of McLaren-Mercedes made one think that Renault would most likel come in second to them. Congratulations to Fernando Alonso and the Renault Formula 1 team for finally breaking the dominance of Ferrari and Michael Schumacher! I've nothing against Ferrari, in fact I LVOE Ferrari, but their dominance was even starting to drive ME nuts. |
