My brother had a 66 140 HP that would out run Porsche 911"s in the early 70's.I had a 110 Hp with headers and a front spoiler, 50 pound bag of concrete in the "trunk" and it handled like a vette. Check out who designed the Monza GT |

I have a 66' Chevrolet Corvair Monza Coupe despite the whole Ralph Nader thing I bought her with pride. Good thing all of this happened well before I was born so it gave the powers that be a chance to discredit him... I think that even now this car would go over well in the market place given that it has been so many years and the kids now a days have no recollection of the Corvair at all. Judging from some others who argued with me that my car was a "Corsair not a Corvair because it 'never existed'" Ralph Nader has been forgotten as well , but still deeply loathed amongst my fellow Corvair lovers.. If GM released this car now it would be a hit and give Porsche a run for it's money! Victoria Heikkila Vernon, BC Canada |
