Well, Dodge has remained faithful to the original design in some aspects... doesn't seem like they stayed up all night scratching their heads about this one.. I don't think I would buy it, but the engine seems astonishing... maybe a test drive would set my view astraight, that is, of course, if it gets the go-ahead for production.... personally, i'd give it the green light just for the "challenger" badge. |

Hemi, 70's body, good looks, performance from today with looks from yesterday, makes me happy. I had a 1970 Challenger way back when, it was fine in a straight line but corners made you nervous. I learned how to 'power-steer' very quickly. It was fun to drive, but not in the rain or snow. This car, I think, will make my old '70 look like a dinosaur. As much as I loved my old '70, this new Challenger is the one top pick for me. If they actually produce this car, I will be first in line to buy one. 'nuff said Jim |

With the sales success of its bretheren, the 300, Magnum and Charger, this new take on the outdated Mercedes-Benz platform will certainly work for fuel-hungry Dodge. Assuming there is at least one V-6, and two "Hemis" to choose from (with this 6.1L as the SRT-8 model), the price of the Challenger will open a broad spectrum of consumers while snatching a few sales from Ford, though the Mustang will most likely always own the segment. |

To me this is a very nice, serious concept. But it looks to much like an old Barracuda. The Dodge Challenger had a slightly higher waistline. At least it retains the look of Dodge, unlike the new Charger. Can't wait for the SRT-8 version. |
