Everyone knows that the Ford Motor Company is in a real bind and is losing billions and billions of dollars every year. However, the future looks to be bright with concepts such as this little hatch. This model will not see production, however, the concept of the vehicle probably will. Deisel-hybrids ARE the future, as Mercedes has already shown. Frankly, I do not understand how the technology has not already made it into production vehicles. With all the potential of a deisel, including the flexibility of running alternative fuel with little to no modifications, it only seems logical to pair it with an electric motor. Think of it, deisels have enough horsepower and tons of torque right? Electric engines have little horsepower and increadibles amounts of torque correct? So lets pair the concepts and put them in small cars like the Reflex along with full-sized trucks.
Americans: deisels are not the smokey stinky engines of yore. In fact, one trip in a TDI Jetta will win you over every time.
