I remember this Daimler when Barry Burnett owned it and yes it was beige and brown,I saw it his warehouse with many other beautiful classics he owns. Barry used to compete in the Claret and Classics Rally in his Le Mans Legonda I was in my Austin Healey or Bentley. Barry sold the Daimler to an American whom restored it to the beauty it is now ! I think I remember Barry telling me 2 were made at Brooklands and I think Clark Gable had one ! I have a photo of my Austin Healey at a Beaulieu Classis Car Show with the Daimler in the background ! Barry originally saw the car in a scrapyard when he was a young lad and tried to get his dad to buy it but a car dealer bought it then spent a bit of money tidying it up ! He then advertised it in the Motorsport Magazine of which I just happen to have a copy ! and it shows the car ! The dealer ran out of cash and the car was auctioned ! Barry and his dad was there and bought it for a song ! The new owner is welcome to the magazine he he contacts me. hoppie23

This car was owned at one time by a family who lived in a village about 10 miles south of Bristol England. I didn't live in the village myself, but I used to call on people there with my mobile shop, including the Burnett family who owned it. This was around 1971 to 1973 & I remember this car being driven around the village occasionally, & what a mighty sight it was. It's a long time ago now, but yes, I do seem to remember it was a brown colour & not the present black. It's wonderful to see it again.
Does anybody know if this car used to be painted Beige

Does anybody know for sure if this was the Beige and brown car? Or was that a different car?
