| Penske/Donohue McLaren notes |
| norweno67 26-8-2003 |
The car shown is the 1968 Penske Can-Am entry, which in reality wasn't a Trojan-built M6B but one of the previous years' M6As which Penske purchased from the factory team. Penske modified the original car by replacing the original small-block with an injected 427ci big-block Chevy, and Mark Donohue used this car to win the Bridgehampton Can-Am race as well as the U.S. Road Race Championship that year.It has since been restored back to it original '67 Team McLaren colors and configuration. |
