Sure Aaron - the colours are a bit drab aren't they? And only five or six to choose really disappointed me. I felt the car deserved a few bright ones apart from the solitary red and could carry off shades with a lot more zing and pizazz. For starters, try an orange with ivory leather; a purple with an off-white or even a light tan leather; an 'electric blue' with red leather and a medium to solid green with deep tan leather - all of these in iridiscent metallic paint of course. Otherwise the car is too sombre for my tastes; currently it has the gravitas of an hearse not the exciting supercar/sportscar it is. Its clothes are too dowdy and it needs more visual excitement to suit its purpose. Throw in a solid yellow too. What colour[s] would give you more passion for this significant car? |

I have to agree that the GT-R looks great but only in some angles, also, you have to see in on the flesh. on pictures, honestly, the gt-r doesn't look that great. so somehow, it's a head turner but not much of an adrenaline pump. Many people really call this car boring, too many computers to correct your every move in the car. Sure the car is fast in laptimes, but however, what's the point if it wouldn't get your heart pumping? |

I'm sorry Mr.Rozzi but you are just plain wrong. The GT-R is a head turner; with it's low, aggressive stance, jewel taillights and large rear wing, I've seen many people (even in Beverly Hills!) turn their heads as one's driven by and said, "What the F**k is that? A Nissan? Impossible!" Also, what's amazing about the car is the way it moves, it's always seems to be hovering over roads, moving like a shark gliding over the undersea floor. |

Kiwieb... The day I responded to your comment about the lack of color choices, I later saw a bright red GT-R drive down the street. I felt like we were both a little wrong. Then I looked it up and saw that red is the only non-gray or chromatic color available. Out of curiosity, what color would you want on the GT-R? |

So, from reading the article, I guess that the only Porsches to be spanked better be RHD vehicles in Japan, as it appears that the GT-R will found nowhere else:-) Pity: There are some C6Rs that need some fun too!! |

aha Mr Rozzi, I have no worries about being the first to ask for more colour options for the NISSAN GT-R. to put it literally, this car is NISSAN's flagship and, as such, it's imperative its buyers have more exterior and especially, interior colour choices. just my opinion. |

I understand that bright colors are necessary on a flashy car, like a Lambo, but noone is cruising the boulevard in the Nissan GT-R. I have driven one, and it is anything but a head turner. Most on-lookers think its just another nissan altima or something. This car is for people who don't mind that. They want to drive it to work everyday without worrying about it getting dirty or scratched, then go spank porsches on weekend track days. About these "marketing basics" you're talking about: you are the first I have heard complain about color options on this car. I think you may be what they call an outlier on this one. Having limited color options may be another way to make the car more affordable for someone who just wants to go fast. To put it metaphorically, this car is an athlete not a super model. |

and its the lack of bright exterior colours and you can have any interior colour as long as it is black YUK NISSAN this philosophy is 100 years obsolete! now NISSAN may want a sinister image for the GTR for some obscure Eastern reason but I will never drive a b cave and when did ya last sit in a lounge room or office painted all black and felt comfortable? this car is too important and desirable not to have more colour choices amazes me how these companies can get the marketing basics so wrong and how this omission may prevent the GTR from becoming the most loved and admired Japanese classic of all time come on NISSAN a rethink is very necessary here |

First of all I find this car FUGLY like all GTRs but that is just my opinion. With Nissan, life is made a little bit more easy as they have a target to aim for. Namely, the Porsche Turbo. E.g. Make the GT-R faster than the Porsche. Yes, they have suceeded in doing this although sometimes I question what "unofficial" times mean when they clock this car around the "ring". Now Porsche have a target and they better work fast. Unfortunately the next Porsche Turbo is probably 2-3 years away. I just wonder if Porsche might "fast track" the development of the next Turbo. I'm assuming they will come out with a car that will "blow away" the GT-R. We will have to wait and see - can't wait. |

Look, I have to admit that I was surprised at the numbers this thing is producing. But come on, faster than a Carrera GT/Enzo/Veryon? Few years ago I knew a guy that said the only reason you couldn't get a skyline in the US was that the government was too afraid of how fast it was. Said it was a government conspiracy that was keeping it from being sold here. That's not much crazier than saying a GT-R is faster than a Veyron. |

I believe this car in ten years time will be hailed as a major design and a real step forward as it has raised the bar and the Euros must be worried this model is now in production as it is a very worthy competitor I just want one |

ozzycarnut... I really hope you didn't say the GTR is quicker than a Veyron... The looks have grown on me exceptionally. 1st time I saw it I said it was a pig, now I think it's rather sleek and beautiful. Performance wise It's exceptional and will outperform both the 911 and the Z06 by quite a bit. Road and Track tested the car and it went and came out of corners about 5-6 km/h faster than both of those. I'd get one is basically what I'm saying. |

Nissan used the 911 as a benchmark; perhaps porsche will return the favour. everyone wins. as for the GTR itself, it's looks are growing on me, but it seems to lack involvement (and sound like a vacuum cleaner). not interested. For me, it's merely a technological masterpiece for which other, more interesting brands can learn from and improve their own cars. |

i think the car has the engine of a supercar but, the extior has no soul the old Skyline gtr was a true sports car desigh and everything , i think imo that if they acyualy made the concept version it would be so much better. |

Simply being cheap and extraordinary super car, Nissan GT-R can compete with other expensive super cars such as Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg CCX and Ferrari Enzo. Nissan GT-R can give most benefit to our spent money. Rather than spending money for super expensive cars, I would prefer this superb Nissan GT-R with quite cheap price and similar performance with those expensive exotics. |

I love the design details. By far and away, the prettiest Japanese car ever made. The sculpted flanks (personal fav), the beautiful exhausts, the jewel-like rear lights, that gorgeous "wrap-around" windscreen. They should only sell them in silver in my opinion. With regard to the previous comment about the front midship (altho i see your point), even if the engine is on the roof, you just cant argue with a Nordshleife time of 7:35. Only the Zonda F and Carrera GT are faster (except for the road going track cars). I rate this will do a 1:20 around the Top Gear track. Let's hope it's as good in everyday conditions as it is around the 'ring. |

bruxell, may i suggest you take off your designer italian glasses for a moment, step back and truly have a look at what has been achieved by nissan with the production of the gtr. this is a japanese car company that makes regular day to day (borning?) cars that has engineered a vehicle that will flog almost any other car available on the market today for approx AUD$120k!. when you consider that the gtr has the ability to kill pagani zondas, lamorghini murcielagos, porsche 911 turbos, koenigsegg ccr/ccx, and anything else any other manufacturer in the world can throw at, this is one very special car indeed. it is offering better than bugatti veyron performance for a couple of subaru wrx sti's money. this really is one very special car. |

The long awaited Nissan GT-R, it has some very big shoes to fill with its older brothers being some of the best drivers cars ever made... at first look its got the design to keep up the skyline heritage. only thing that worries me is the semi-auto... in my oppinion that looses some of the "driver" factor but i guess it will be ok |

Nissan really need to stop all this "Mid-ship" nonsense. The engine clearly ends well forward of the wheel centerline. It's reall not even that far back in the car. It's nice that they've given it an overly complex transaxle system, and I'm sure the weight distribution is favorable, but come on. I really hate when they try to tell us that a forward heavy car will have better handling on the road; Of course! That's why Ferrari goes to so much trouble to make the 430 front heavy! Do your homework, and repackage the car if you're going to try to use mid-mounted marketing lingo... |
