 The Best of the Litter.
I've always regarded the F1GTR as the most outstanding modern day example of a car that was built for the road and more than capable of an outstanding race performance.
My other yard stick in this category is the Ferrari F40, but I doubt it would be as tractable and comfortable on the road as the 'Big Mac'.
To this day I doubt any manufacturer has come close to the balance of road manners and race performance.
Yet another fantastic read for a fantastic car, thank you!
 Win at first attempt
Very nice and educative write-up indeed. If I may add, the reference to Ferrari's first win is correct however the year was 1949.
 F1 GTR
Incredible! With each one, you can drive from your home until the circuit, win the race and return to your house driving normally on the road.
 None Better
IMO the McLAREN F1 road car and its variants ARE the best supercars ever made.
A car of impeccable design intelligence and engineering.
I was staggered by awe when it was launched in 1993 and 17 years later it still has me gobsmacked.
Just like a Turner, a Van Gough or a Picasso, it's a work of inspired and timeless genius - a masterpiece forever and I'm so happy I was around to delight in its creation.
 Nice write up!!!
Simply amazing stuff. To this day will still be one of the best cars ever made!!!
