I was unaware of the difference. When the engine was released in the Q7, I remember several respected publications making some hay over it using the same power-plant as the R10. I think even Evo made that claim. Do you know why they use a 90degree angle in the racing car? Everything Ive read says that 60degrees is the best angle

Oh, and Ive decided that, although I do think the diesel motor should remain a concept, I do rather like the roof treatment with the sunken NACA duct.

 what's the use???

what's the use of this diesel engine in the R8??? I'd rather have the Lamborghini Gallardo because it looks much better this is something that just fits in the traffic and when you that kind of money you don't want that.
 not from the racing car.

Contrary to popular belief, the V12 engine from the Q7 and now this R8 does not come from the racing R10. There they use a 90 degree V12, while the production version has a more common 60 degree angle. Audi may have used technology developed during its racing program, but the block is totally different.
 Just what I always wanted!

A car that's uselessly fast and heavier than the same car with a smaller, better sounding motor... it's uglier too. The only reason to buy this car would be that the engine comes out of a racing car, but it comes out of my least favorite racing car ever, and it's also shared with an SUV... yes Audi, very "sporty." I can't wait to start whoooshing along at high speed in my heavy, SUV engined, shop-vac sounding R8. This car is exactly what the world doesn't need rightt now, and what a driver never needs.

This is the best audi ever. The question is, who will buy a lambo now? I mean, wont it affect its sales?
