 My brother is official pilot for Porsche here in Portugal and he tests and gives sports driving instruction, whenever Porsche organizes events here in Portugal.
Recently was the presentation and demonstration of the capabilities of the new Cayenne in various cities in Portugal, and my brother and some more pilots went from Lisbon to all Algarve last thursday (15th May) and back to Lisbon on the next friday (16th May). They had one Cayenne (295 hp), one Cayenne GTS (405 hp), two Cayenne S (385 hp) and two Cayenne Turbo (500 hp). I went with them to Lisbon on friday and on highway i was in one Turbo, and i easly made around 270 km/h, and my brother told me that he made 280 km/h in the day after, so i think this Cayenne Turbo S with 550 hp can do more than 280 km/h.
one more thing fuel consuption is around 30 to 35 liter of gasoline in the Cayenne Turbo, at least when i was driving, so i guess the Turbo S makes a little bit more.

 Wisely the press release does not mention any fuel consumption figures. Nevertheless I do not think this vehicle in any contributes to reducing the fleet emissions of the factory. Let's see where they will be going to compensate.
