Someone once took me for a ride in a road-going Stratos. It was hot, noisy, but boy, what an exhilarating piece of motor! Still one of my best rides as a passenger. I am not a particular fan of wedge-shape designs, but I'd settle for this one anytime.

Brilliant stuff!

One of the world's MOST memorably stylish (and competively successful} cars is only made after nuccio BERTONE and prototype designer marcello GANDINI overcome considerable resistance from its LANCIA manufacturer!

Thank God for their vision and persistence; just think about if it had never made it into production. It really is a unique design perhaps ranking with the CITROEN 1966-1975 Citroën D-series as the most timeless.

Thanks for this remarkable article about this fascinating car.

I am very sad BERTONE has fallen on hard times and I do hope this marvellously creative and legendary coachbuilder and design house will be able to continue its rich heritage of gracing the automotive world with more masterpieces.

We all lose if it fails.
