Saw one... |

I saw one of these on 4th of July. It's too quiet. I mean, I know it has the power to compete but my Trans Am sounded like more of a beast (I know, an AM would smoke a Trans Am, I'm specifically talking about noise levels). |
Surprising... |

I did not think Aston was going to take this car beyond the concept level, since prestige concerns tend to trump performance ones in premium automakers, and the muscle car concept of "big engine in a little car" tends to make the pecking order of the models murky. Consider how the Boxster and Caymen have been continually held back performance-wise so as not to outshine the 911, which suffers from its rear-engine placement and greater weight in comparison to the smaller cars. The Boxster/Caymen could almost certainly accept any of the 911's engines, but they are given only the lowest powered ones so they don't upstage the more expensive model. I applaud Aston for being willing to try all out performance, even if it upstages the DBS and hurts a few egos in the process. |
