BMW Hyperbole |
Kiwieb 02-24-2009 |
So BMW has defined a "...brand-new vehicle segment" has it? Forgive me but I am looking at a revamped MAZDA 626 Sports Hatch introduced over 25 years ago. And the breathless tone of this BMW issued PR launch handout is absurd. Who writes this stuff or, more pertinently, allows it to be commissioned? Who believes it or does not squirm with embarrassment while reading it? And who is going to be the first to cease this moronic tradition of unstinting praise whenever a new model is announced? Apart from this a production version of this car may do quite well as it sure is preferable to the plethora of urban tanks - ....err SUV's blocking my vision while driving and parking, and it does meet a need for versatility with its typical BMW values and a good measure of styling panache. I like the package and hope BMW will bring it to the market. |
Ugh... |

I hate it when people lower SUVs and Crossovers. They always end up putting hideous 20 inch wheels on them, and what they end up with is a car that looses all style and functionality. Really people, just leave it the way it left the factor... Oh, I see... BMW have done this by themselves. Well, I guess it saves some basketball player the trouble of lowering his X6. |
Cross breed |

Looks wise, it looks like a cross breed between a Prius and an X6. I'll take some getting used to when (if ever) it hits the roads. |
looks like a great car to be seated in the back! |

Basically i dont like the looks of this car, but that "hatch back" look might give the back seats more room and make this car a very good car for back seat passages. But doesn't look like a normal 5-series!, it looks more like a 5-series 4 door coupe! |
